If you don’t like that particular weapon or piece of armor, use the new 1:1 Infusion system to get your preferred gear where you need it. If you can use a weapon or piece of armor that makes you 330 Light instead of 328, do it. What this means to you is that you want to be equipping the best gear that you have when you’re going into the event. To put it simply, your bullets will hurt more. To give you an example, if you are at the 335 Maximum Light Level in the Iron Banner, and your opponent is running around at 311, you are going to have a significant advantage when you start doing damage to each other. In regular PvP, everyone is working on an even playing field. Playing in the Iron Banner is slightly different than regular PvP in that your Light level is what determines how powerful you are against other players. Tips for the Iron Banner Event Players will be able to purchase an Iron Banner Auto Rifle and Rocket Launcher from Lord Saladin. You can also start earning these drops at Rank 0, so you don’t have to mess around leveling up all week in order to get a shot at some fancy new Gauntlets.
